I\u00a0attended both rounds last year at school and this year online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The tasks in the first round are compiled into a written test which includes listening part, reading part and the grammar test. If you are successful, you continue to the second round &#8211; speaking part of the Olympiad. The speaking part consists of telling a picture story and a roleplay with a teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/noa.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/received_371857437452934.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1813\" srcset=\"https:\/\/noa.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/received_371857437452934.jpeg 750w, https:\/\/noa.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/received_371857437452934-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/noa.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/received_371857437452934-80x45.jpeg 80w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year when we were at school, the speaking part was, in my opinion, easier. This year we went online, the internet was slow and I couldn\u00b4t really understand what the teacher was saying, which in my opinion, lowered my score. The test was kind of okay but since it\u00b4s level C1 for bilingual students and C2 for native speakers, some of the tasks were pretty difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both rounds of the Olympiad are, of course, supervised by our professors. The writing part was organized, supervised and checked by our professors Mgr. Simona Albertov\u00e1 and Mgr. Edita Mad\u017earov\u00e1. The committees for the speaking part consisted of Mgr. Zuzana Marcinov\u00e1, Mgr. Ant\u00f3nia Zubkov\u00e1 and Mgr. \u013dudmila Dankov\u00e1.&nbsp; When we got the results from our professor PhDr. Darina Kov\u00e1\u010dov\u00e1, who also congratulated the winners and encouraged everybody to continue studying English and getting better, the Olympiad was over. Since we were separated into two categories, we had three winners from each one:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Category 2C1&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Category 2C2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1<sup>st<\/sup> place: Bak\u0161iov\u00e1 Petronela, V.E&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1<sup>st<\/sup> place: B\u00e1lint Benjamin, I.D<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2<sup>nd<\/sup> place: Gergo\u0161ov\u00e1 J\u00falia, I.D&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place: Figmigov\u00e1 Nikola, IV.E<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3<sup>rd<\/sup> place: Barobin Adam, IV.E&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place: Sieber Stela, IV.D<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every year there\u00b4s a special price for creativity, which this year went to Radoslav Gajdo\u0161, III.D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"736\" height=\"416\" src=\"https:\/\/noa.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/received_1707404282764794.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1814\" srcset=\"https:\/\/noa.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/received_1707404282764794.jpeg 736w, https:\/\/noa.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/received_1707404282764794-300x170.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/noa.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/received_1707404282764794-80x45.jpeg 80w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Anyways, I think that every experience moves all participants forward, not only the winners, and we found out what we need to improve in our English, whether it\u00b4s in the grammatical tests, speaking, reading, describing things or just the roleplay. Everybody has different experiences of using English in real life and this Olympiad may help us improve them. I hope that next year we\u00b4ll participate again and do even better in both rounds.
